08 December 2016

American software and IT engineering provider Waters will expand its local offices in Brasov, central Romania, and plans to hire another 100 people.

Waters Romania, which provides software for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries, currently has 150 IT specialists.

The company will expand its offices in the Coresi Business Park office complex to 3,500 sqm, according to the park’s developer Ascenta Management. Waters Romania has been operating in Brasov for over 17 years.

“Brasov is one of the cities with the most dynamic evolution in the last 5 years, both in industry and services. We have made a bet on Brasov’s long term development as the city offers us access to a pool of qualified personnel, fueled by the universities in the city and region,” said Gheorghe Neagu, general manager Waters Romania. The software producer had a turnover of EUR 4.2 million in 2015.

Coresi Business Park is one of the biggest office projects outside Bucharest. Developed on the former Tractorul industrial platform, the park currently has 30,000 sqm of office space, in new and old industrial buildings that have been revamped. The second phase of the park includes three modern buildings with 25,000 sqm of office space.
