Ad platform OLX enters online recruitment segment in Romania with dedicated section

OLX, the largest classifieds platform in Romania, has entered the online recruitment segment, by opening a section dedicated to job listings.

Prices for listing a job ad on OLX vary between EUR 3.31 and EUR 3.71 for one-month validity. By comparison, employers’ minimum costs for placing 1-3 ads on the recruitment platform eJobs amount to EUR 119, according to local Ziarul Financiar.

The new OLX segment targets large companies as well as small firms and seasonal employers, said Andrei Dusum Head of Commercial & Development, Naspers Classifieds Romania.

Naspers Classifieds Romania is the company that manages the OLX platform. It is owned by South-African investment fund Naspers.

The OLX website currently has almost 69,000 job ads. Most of them are for jobs abroad (over 9,700), jobs for drivers / service centers / courier market (8,100 active ads), and hotel / restaurant staff (almost 4,800 jobs).

The online recruitment market has a value between EUR 12 million and 15 million, according to ZF estimates. eJobs, owned by Swiss media group Ringier, and Bestjobs, developed by local group Neogen, owned by Romanian investor Calin Fusu, are the main players on this market. Several new sites have been launched in recent years on this segment.
