Over 300 artists from 42 countries come to EUROPAfest in Romania this May

EUROPAfest will return with a new edition between May 11 and May 20 this year, bringing more than 300 artists from 42 countries to Romania, as well as special guests from U.S., Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, and Japan.

The event will be organized in Bucharest and Sibiu, and will gather four music genres – jazz, blues, pop and classical under the motto It’s all about live quality music!.

EUROPAfest includes the Bucharest International Jazz Competition and the Jeunesses International Flute Competition Dinu Lipatti, as well as gala events, Caffe Festival Ibis, jam sessions / master-classes, and symphonic music concerts.

The festival will take place in several locations such as Teatrul Odeon, CinemaPRO, Institutul Italian, Ibis Nord Caffe, Athenee Palace Hilton, Sala Thalia, Sala Rossini, Sala Berlioz, and Sala Enescu. It will kick off on May 11 with a double opening gala concert in Bucharest and Sibiu.

EUROPAfest is the first local event that has received the Patronage of the Royal House of Romania. In 2017, the event’s value was reconfirmed by the European Commission and the European Parliament, which grant it the EFFE, Europe’s Finest Festivals title.
